Monday Ratings: The Irrational Opens Well Leading Out of Steady Voice

In the latest TV show ratings, NBC’s The Voice season opener led Monday’s non-sports fare in both total viewers and in the demo, although The Irrational opens its run well leading out of steady voice. Let’s take a look!

NBC | The Voice Now With Reba returned to 6.4 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating, matching its previous two season premieres. Leading out of that, Jesse L. Martin’s The Irrational retained 4.1 mil and a 0.4 — a larger audience than Quantum Leap ever delivered in the plum post-Voice slot and besting that sci-fi drama’s Season 1 averages.

ABC | The network’s share of Monday Night Football coverage averaged 8.8 mil and a 2.2 — or, closer to 11 mil and a 2.8 if you only count actual game time.

FOX | After a nine-year break, Kitchen Nightmares (understandably) returned to what sure looks like series lows (1.5 mil/0.3). Special Forces: WTT (1.4 mil/0.3) hit and tied series lows with its Season 2 opener.

CBS | The “NCIS Day” mini-thon did 3.2 mil/0.2 … 2.7 mil/0.2… and then 2.2 mil/0.2.

THE CW | Son of a Critch (330K) was up, Run the Burbs (180K) and Children Ruin Everything (160K) were down.
