Katelin Chesna, Andrea Pazmino and Jose Eduardo Ramos, star in the movie ‘My Life is on the Line’ premiering on Lifetime Channel on Sunday May 5th, 2024 at 8/7c. We at Survived The Shows had the incredible chance to talk with star Katelin Chesna, who teased the movie and her experience in My Life is on the Line. Check out the full interview below!

Can you tell us a bit about your character in My Life is on the Line?

My character, PILAR, is a strong woman who expects a lot out of herself and the people that work for her. She worked hard to get where she’s at in her career & she values that characteristic in those around her. Although she is a tough cookie and runs a tight ship, her hard exterior demeanor belies a compassionate interior that she only shows to a select few trusted people in her life. She demands a lot out of herself and the people in her corner, but when she’s on your side, she is 100% a loyal, generous person to have on your team.

What initially attracted you to your role in My Life is on the Line?

I was initially attracted to her power and inner strength as well as her ability to overcome adversity.

What do you think makes this movie so special and captivating?

I love that the director and lead actor are latina women!!! Our DP is also a woman as is one of our main producers. I love seeing women in film getting opportunities to use their talents and shine!

What do you hope audiences take away from watching My Life is on the Line?

I hope they enjoy the suspense and thriller aspect of the film & have fun on the ride!

What was it like working with the rest of the cast on set?

The cast and crew were honestly a dream team to work with!! Professional, talented, efficient, creative & fun! It was a great experience!

What can you tease about your character Journey?

My character does have a good side too 😉

What was your favorite scene or moment while filming My Life is on the Line?

There is a moment when I shut the blinds on one of my employees that is trying to get my attention. The 1st take was awesome because the blinds worked perfectly and it worked so well for that scene. The rest of the takes, the blinds would not cooperate, so I’m hoping that 1st take made it into the film.

At Survived the Shows, we are big fans of Christmas comedies. What is your all-time favorite?

Change of subject, What have been some of the most memorable projects you have worked on throughout your career, and why?

I loved getting to be a vampire on the show TRUE BLOOD.

Can you tease something about your next projects?

I just finished working on a Guest Star role on the Tyler Perry show HOUSE of PAYNE. And I have a role in a Netflix feature directed by the Russo Brothers that comes out later this year. I also just booked a role in a short film that I love! It’s an incredibly beautiful script and I can’t wait to dive into telling that story. We film in June.
