EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Monroe Cline Previews Lifetime’s Blood, Sweat & Cheer – WATCH

Tammin Sursok and Monroe Cline star in Blood, Sweat & Cheer, a new, original movie premiering Sunday May 12th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime Channel. We at Survived the Shows had the incredible chance to speak with star Monroe Cline, who teased Lifetime’s Blood, Sweat & Cheer and her experience in the movie. Check out the full interview in the video below!

Can you tell us a bit about your character in Blood, Sweat & Cheer?

Cherie is the daughter of Renee, and she is about to graduate high school and is struggling to find her own voice underneath her mom’s shadow. She’s kind of fighting between what she actually wants to pursue versus what her mom has projected onto her, what she wants to pursue. So there’s a bit of conflict there, along with the divorce of her mom and her dad. So she just kind of feels split between two worlds and really just wants to have her own voice.

What initially attracted you to your role in Blood, Sweat & Cheer?

I was initially attracted to blood, sweat, and cheer because of my dance background. I grew up dancing from the age of, like, four years old, very similar to cherie. So I felt that I would be a good fit, and I really resonated with her and the struggles that come with being a competitive dancer.
