EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW – Ashley Forrestier Teases Bianca’s Journey on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ A Nashville Legacy!
What’s the main element in Bianca’s character and the movie in general that fascinates you the most and drew you to join A Nashville Legacy?

The main element about the movie in general that drew me to it is the actual Legacy of African American music. There’s so much culture, history and also a lot of people who have paved the way for artists and creatives to achieve an amazing amount of wealth. I loved the accomplished nature of my character. The senior curator of the National Museum of African American Music. This filmed portrayed black people in such an amazing light. It was never degrading and mixes the old school with new school.

Where are you and Bianca most similar and where most different as human beings?

Bianca and I are most similar in the ways of us being strong women who are supportive and helpful of other successful women. We differ in the fact that we see conflict and change differently. Bianca sees small businesses close around her and tries to keep things the same and not rock the boat, even if it’s for a good cause. I will rock that boat, shake it, jump up and down in it for a cause that I feel strongly about.

What’s been the biggest challenge for you in portraying Bianca?

The biggest challenge was just quieting my normally bubbly personality. I had to reel it in a little because Bianca runs a very well oiled machine and she’s all about business. I like to have fun and be about business but had to check some of that fun at the door.

To all the fans looking forward to watching the movie, how would you describe A Nashville Legacy in just 3 words?

Cultural, Inspiring and Romantic.

What can you tease about Bianca’s journey throughout the movie?

You’re never too old to learn something from the upcoming generation.

Throwing back to the origins of your career, how did the passion for acting come about in your life?

Acting as a child in christmas plays and just loving the arts formed a love for acting really early on. It was so easy, almost like second nature. I loved the freedom of just being able to play, to emerge myself in situations that I may or may not have experienced and bringing them to life for the characters that I got to portray. That freedom is like no other.

If you had to give some advice to people who want to pursue an acting career, which kind of advice would you give them?

Don’t give up. You will get a lot of closed doors that will make you want to quit and give up…but don’t. It’s so worth the joy on the other end…especially when those doors start to open.

What can you tease about your next projects?

In another project I’m working on I get to portray a character that is so far unlike myself. You learn to find similarities in some capacity but it really stretched me. Coming to a Netflix near you.
