Let’s begin with the tv series dream locations!

1. Emily in Paris: Paris

This funny rom-com follows Lily Collins as Emily, an American living in the French capital. And while Parisians and expats have been quite explicit about the misrepresentation of life in the City of Lights, glossy locations cannot be criticized. Showrunner Darren Star, who was also the creator of Sex and the City, takes us to sumptuous places such as the Palais Garnier, the historic restaurant Le Grand Véfour and the well-known Jardin du Luxembourg, while Emily’s apartment is in the pretty Place de l’Estrapade in the fifth arrondissement. And the show also does like the Parisians and heads out of town for a summer break in the Champagne region – actually filmed in the Loire Valley.

2. Outlander: the scottish Highlands

The protagonist Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) calls Lallybroch home in the successful Starz fiction “Outlander” (based on the novel of the same name). It is actually located in Abercorn, Scotland. According to Visit Scotland, the tower house is not occupied and visitors should feel free to walk around the property, which is located on acres of beautiful Scottish green land.

For UK television crews – and for travellers – the Highlands are as spectacular as they are affordable! They were used in everything from Bond to Harry Potter, to TV products like Hamish Macbeth and The Crown.
However, it is Outlander who dominates thanks to international success. A new wave of visitors was encouraged to explore the region, thanks to a dramatic plot that is almost as romantically epic as the landscapes themselves.

Visit Scotland has even cleverly created an entire site that covers enough castles, lakes and vast wilderness and pristine areas to satiate the most avid fans suffering from “Droughtlander”.

3. The Walking Dead: Woodbury

woodbury tv series dream locations

The seemingly perfect city of Woodbury, a post-apocalyptic neighborhood controlled by a mysterious figure known as the Governor, is one of the major locations featured in the third season of the hit series. Scenes with Woodbury were actually shot on Main Street in Senoia, Georgia. Although it might seem a bit different to fans without the improvised gates used to keep out the “walkers”, as they are called in the show. TWD fans will have fun walking along the family road. After a casual walk on Main Street, you can take a slice from Matt’s Smalltown Pizza or a cup of coffee at Senoia Coffee & Cafe.

4. The Vampire Diaries: The Mystic Grill

The Mystic Grill may be a character in its own right in the popular CW series! In fact, the characters are often seen drinking, plotting, and repelling various supernatural entities in the restaurant (it once also blew up). Perhaps the craziest part is that the Grill’ is real – same name, same outsiders. It is located in Covington, Georgia, where the show is filmed. While you may not have the chance to drink bourbon with Damon Salvatore at the bar, the restaurant is known to serve some pretty delicious dishes, making it well worth a visit to fans and non-fans alike.

5. Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med: Chicago

All three Chicago shows have been touring all over Chicago and on city stages since Chicago Fire began production in 2012. In fact, the firehouse in Chicago Fire is the Engine 18, which is a real working firehouse that was organized after the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. The members of the cast joke that, apart from the fact that it is “super cold”, it is very fun to shoot there. Jesse Lee Soffer, who plays Jay Halstead, said he loves that the city is like “another character on the show”.

The CW One Tree Hill tv series was set in the fictional town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, where it was actually filmed throughout the nine seasons. In their podcast Drama Queens, Hilarie Burton, Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz talked about moving to Wilmington, North Carolina to shoot and how they never imagined having a “global fanbase” for the show.

Speaking of the history of cinema in Wilmington, Hilarie said.

There were so many beautiful things that had been filmed there before we arrived. So, for me, it was like, oh, I can go live in a holiday town’. And Dawson’s Creek had just stopped filming right in Wilmington.
